Five Signature Finishes
Our Five Finishes
Each finish is applied and checked by hand. Here's how each one looks, wears and ages.

Warm aged tones · dark undertones · heritage lacquer
Antique Brass
Warm aged tones with deep, dark undertones raised by hand over solid brass. Each piece is individually antiqued, then sealed with a heritage lacquer that holds the aged character in place.
- Coating
- Clear protective lacquer over hand-applied patina
- Durability
- Interior-rated; long-lasting indoor protection
- Ageing
- Stable — the patina is fixed at finishing and darkens only very slowly
- Best suited to
- Period and heritage homes, from Georgian and Victorian houses to villas and bungalows

Satin brushed · protective lacquer
Brushed Brass
A fine directional satin grain with a warm, low-glare sheen. The brushed surface diffuses light and disguises everyday handling marks.
- Coating
- Satin brush plus satin lacquer
- Durability
- Suited to everyday kitchen and bathroom use
- Ageing
- Colour-stable — no natural patina develops under the coating
- Best suited to
- Contemporary kitchens, new builds and hospitality interiors

Mirror finish · deep luster
Polished Brass
Hand-polished to a mirror finish with deep luster and full warm-gold saturation, then sealed to preserve the shine.
- Coating
- Multi-stage hand polish with clear protective lacquer
- Durability
- Interior-rated; lacquer protects against tarnish and handling
- Ageing
- Retains brightness while lacquered; re-polishable once the coating wears
- Best suited to
- Traditional interiors and formal joinery

Raw living finish · ages naturally over time
Unlacquered Brass
Aged & unlacquered brass hardware, left entirely bare. A raw living finish that ages naturally over time, darkening and mellowing into a patina unique to its room.
- Coating
- None — bare solid brass, deliberately uncoated
- Durability
- Solid brass throughout; the surface is intentionally left unprotected
- Ageing
- Darkens gradually with handling and air; the speed depends on use and environment. Can be restored with a brass polish.
- Best suited to
- Period homes and design-led contemporary interiors

Deep matte lacquer finish
Matte Black
A deep matte lacquer finish over solid brass with a deep matte look — graphic against pale joinery, quiet within darker schemes.
- Coating
- Multi-layer matte lacquer over solid brass
- Durability
- Durable indoor finish
- Ageing
- No patina develops under the coating
- Best suited to
- Contemporary and minimalist projects
